Is there a screensaver for 6.x? I still have the 5.2 version left over after install, but with no PATH line I get an error, and I don’t suppose it would launch slave 6 anyway.
No, the screen saver is being discontinued in v6. Since Vista, screen savers now run in a separate environment, which can cause issues because it starts up Deadline in that separate environment.
Windows now has a really nice Task Scheduler feature which you can use to start Deadline when the system becomes idle and stop it when the user returns:
