Did anyone tried deadline 5.2 with after effects CC?
I was able to render with deadline with after CS5 but with CC I get a lot of errors… is it compatible? Is deadline 6 compatible with after CC?
I installed CC in trial mode, do I need a CC full license even on render nodes?
As far as I know, Ryan updated 6.1 to work with CC – I’m not sure what changes were involved, but I don’t think they were too extensive. What kind of errors are you getting?
I’m also not sure whether or not you need a full license to render on the nodes… sorry!
You got it, he’s taking a break with his family now that Siggraph is done with
6.1 isn’t released publicly yet, but we’ve started the private Beta. If you’re interested in getting into the Beta, you can contact the Sales team and they’ll likely hook you up
6.0 has been released, though, and the AE CC plugin we have for 6.1 should be compatible with 6.0 (whereas it wouldn’t be with 5.2), if you’re interested in going that route.
We do not currently have support for AE CC in 6.0, though it will definitely be in 6.1. You can edit some files to get integrated submissions to work, but submitting from the monitor is something we have found to be very tricky. It shouldn’t be too hard to edit the "[repo]\plugins\AfterEffects\AfterEffects.dlinit"and “[repo]\plugins\AfterEffects\AfterEffects.param” files to add in lines for AE CC, which would be RenderExecutable12_0. Hope that helps.
Hi
If you just upgraded AE CC you should probably add a separate line for 12_1 as well in your “AfterEffects.dlinit”- and “AfterEffects.param”-file. Just spent over an hour trying to figure out why we couldn’t render with CC here. Turns out AE CC went from 12_0 to 12_1 in the last update.
OK I did this and it appears in the Monitor plugin list, getting an error with the submission script now. Should this be edited now?
“The SubmitAEToDeadline.jsx script could not be found in the Deadline Repository. Please make sure that the Deadline Client has been installed on this machine, that the Deadline Client bin folder is set in the DEADLINE_PATH environment variable, and that the Deadline Client has been configured to point to a valid Repository.” );
