dedicated node for draft

Hi !

I just setup trough my farm a machine only for draft.

But my artist submit jobs trough their nuke submitter. Therefore i dont have control on wich machine is going to run the script. Is there any way that i can deadline to only use draft on that one node ?

Sure!

In the Deadline Monitor, while you’re in Super User Mode:

Create a “Draft” group in Deadline. (Tools menu > Manage Groups)
Add the machine you want to the Draft group (Right-click the slave and choose Modify Groups…)
In the Deadline Monitor, open the Draft Event Plugin settings. (Go to the Tools menu > Configure Event Plugins, and choose Draft in the left column).

Set the “Draft Group” to the Draft group you created.

You may also want to make sure that machine doesn’t pick up jobs from the ‘none’ group. You can change this by right-clicking the slave and choosing Modify Slave Settings.
