Could the default action be set to a custom Script? Would be great, that way we could channel the appropriate output directly into RV / framecycler, without first having to select the output path from the popup window.
This is something that we would like to support in the future (maybe 6.2 or 7.0). We basically want to have customizable default actions for every list when double-clicking, and we want to allow the user to choose any option in the list’s right-click menu, including scripts.

Hm… Right now there is no easy convenient way to quickly view your images in anything more complex of a job then a single output render.
If you have multiple outputs / multiple frames in a task, double clicking always brings up a selection popup. This is an annoying step back for artists that are used to seeing their beauty pass right in the monitor on a separate panel for years now.
I would like to ease their pain as much as possible, at least by giving them the ability to quickly open framecycler / RV via a double click. Right now, i can’t do that.
I guess one of these solutions would work:
- ability to assign a custom script to the doubleclick action
- ability to turn a feature on that makes the viewer action just pass the first output of the task’s first frame to the default viewer
