If a pool is created, slaves are added to it, and then the pool is deleted, slaves in that pool remain in it. I could see cases being made both for and against this behavior, so I just wanted to confirm it is intended.

Oh nevermind, I just saw the “Purge _ obsolete pools/groups on close” options in the Manage Pools/Groups dialogs. Sorry for the noise.
