I am sure most of you have noticed, but just to make sure nobody is wasting time hunting for Krakatoa in the Render Scene Dialog…
Krakatoa ships with a set of 5 MacroScripts which can be used to access various modules very fast.
The Macros use icons which are currently placed in the Krakatoa Installation folder \Icons sub-directory and HAVE TO BE COPIED MANUALLY into the Max Ui\Icons folder until we fix the installer ;o)
The first Macro toggles Krakatoa’s GUI on and off. If Krakatoa is not the current renderer, it prompts about switching to Krakatoa. In this case, it also writes a Max Render Preset which stores all settings of the current (Scanline, VRay, Brazil, mental ray or whatever) renderer so if you change your mind, you can go back.
The next two Macros toggle the Log Window On/Off resp. toggle the Auto-Open feature of the Log.
The next icon launches the Shadows On Geometry Utility.
The last one launches the PRT Analyzer Utility.
You will find all the macros in the Krakatoa category of the Customize UI Dialog and can drag them to Menus, Quads or assign them to shortcuts as alternative to toolbars.

Saw those in the customize dialog, but it didn’t quite click in my head. =) Thanks for the reminder!
