When submitting a Quicktime job to ‘Deadline’ the progress is not displayed in the monitor. It basically stays at 0% until the file is completely done. Even though the software is meant as a frame renderer it would be great if it was able to display the progress of single movie renders. No?
If anyone knows a patch/setting etc. - even if the answer is a ‘Can’t do’ please let me know.
thanks!

Hi Martin,
It is possible for the dfscript to output the progress, but we’ve
avoided implementing it up to now because we found it less stable than
our current solution.
However, the stability likely has improved in Fusion since we first
created the quicktime plugin. We’re going to add an option to the
quicktime plugin configuration to enable/disable progress reporting, so
if there are problems, users can revert back to the old solution.
Kind regards,
- Ryan
Is there any plan to update the qt generator for Fusion 5? Fusion 5 makes better .mov’s that can be scrubbed more reliably.
Hi Chad,
Yes, we will eventually provide a fusion 5 version of the quicktime
plugin. It’s on our todo list.
Kind regards,
- Ryan
