I’d like a right click menu option from a job to Email User, open a new email window with the job name as the subject and user as the recipient.
Again, it’s one of those features that DL5 had that 6 does not that we used on a daily basis.
Not as necessary, but I think it would be a great feature to have this as a right click menu option from an Error Report to not only generate the user’s email as recipient and job name as subject, but also include the error report in the body of the email.

Attached is a EmailUser script that you can unzip to \your\repository\scripts\Jobs. After restarting your Monitor, you can right-click on a job and select Scripts -> EmailUser. This will open up your email client with the user’s email address and the job’s name as the subject.
I tried getting something similar to work for the job reports, but Outlook didn’t like the way I was including the body. You can unzip EmailUserError to \your\repository\scripts\JobReports to see what I’ve got so far.

Thanks for the scripts! The EmailUser script works as intended. As you mentioned, the EmailUserError script doesn’t work. For me, it doesn’t pop up a new mail window at all. That’s ok though, I’m happy with the EmailUser for now.
