is there a way to get the MongoDB from DL6.2 to DL8?
I always get an error that the DB8 Repository installer can not find/connect the old DB.

We don’t support moving DB’s between MAJOR versions. The “Import Wizard” allows you to import all useful DB/repo settings from D6 and onwards into your new Deadline DB:

You can’t use an OLD MAJOR version of Deadline DB with a newer Deadline MAJOR version. That has never been supported.

Sounds like your Deadline 8 setup has a configuration issue, perhaps with the “connection.ini” file under “…/youre_repo/settings/connection.ini”. I would reach out to our main support team if you need some help here: support@thinkboxsoftware.com
