When rendering a job with multiple frames per task, when you double click on a renderered task it pops open a dialog showing a list of all the frames for the task, personally I NEVER need this as whatever task I’ve double clicked, it loads the sequence, I’d love to be able to skip that dialog (just loads the first image)
Any chance?
Hi Simon,
This option and indeed quite a few others have already been added to v7.1 Fancy joining the beta?
If so, please send an email to “beta [at] thinkboxsoftware [dot] com” for the NDA to sign.
Oh great! I might have signed up to the beta at some point but I’m hesitant of how to use it non-production…
Ah, scratch that. There is an edge case where the pop-up dialog still appears for multiple frames in a single task even when we feed it one of our new optional “args” to the image viewer of your studio choice. I’ve logged this as an issue to get sorted in v7.1
As always, client feedback from production is pure gold. Thanks!
re: using the beta version, yeah, there is always a small risk associated with running a beta version of software in production. So, it’s up to individual studios to make that call. There is nothing stopping you running more than one version of Deadline as only the slaves/balancer use up a license, if only to run small tests to validate new features, provide feedback, so that Deadline has all the features just the way you want them, in the next release…
Thanks Mike, I should get on it really as I do do quite a bit of fiddling around with deadline.
Cheers
