I’ll admin the documentation on this feature is a little sparse:
franticfilms.com/software/su … onitor.php
I think the settings involved in configuring a mapped drive in Deadline are pretty self-explanatory though, but if you need clarification on anything, let us know. Also, what exactly is the problem you’re having?
Cheers,
The problem I am having is that when I set up the drive mapping, it screws up my mapped drives, some it maps, some it doesn’t. It might be an issue with render farm machines being logged into by a remote desktop ( no local account active ).
When exactly is the drive mapping taking place? Slave start, machine reboot, launcher start?
Thanks in advance,
Dragan Najdenov
The drive mapping takes place before a slave begins to render a task. The slave log should indicate whether or not the drive mapping was successful. Feel free to send us a slave log from a problematic machine, and we’ll take a look. You can find the log folder from any of the Deadline applications by selecting Help -> Explore Log Folder.
I’m not sure if the Remote Desktop setup would be causing problems or not. Can you login in to one of your problematic machines using a local account to see if the problem persists?
Cheers,
