We have email notification setup for completed jobs. I’ve noticed that the ‘output location’ under ‘Job Details’ has been truncated to 8.3. Is this a limitation of Maya or Deadline? Am I overlooking a setting somewhere?
Deadline is doing this. The original reasoning I think was so that you could click on the link in the email and it would automatically open the folder. Not sure if this is still necessary…
Ok, good to know. My concern is that we have a php script parsing the email and it’s tripping over the output path. Oddly enough, only some workstation submits do this. Others will show the full path. Any explanation for this, considering all workstations are configured identically?
That’s interesting. The email itself is generated from the slave machine that finished the last task for the job, so is it possible that certain slaves are configured differently? The job completion emails show which slave machine generated the notification at the bottom of the message. Maybe the slaves that show the full path have a different OS installed than those that show the short path?
