Error:FailRenderException | Maya 2023.3 / Vray v6.00.03

Hi everyone,

I keep getting an error, I don’t seem to understand. The scene renderes finely on other workers, except for one computer/worker. The failing computer should have exactly the same setup as the others.

I hope someone can help. Thank you very much!

Thanks for reaching out, looking at the error in the logs, it seems like failing to load Bifrost module! I found blog post written by Autodesk related to the same Error. Please check the resolution steps mentioned by Autodesk and give them a try!

You can also, try to Isolate the Issue outside of Deadline and see If the same scene file renders outside of Deadline by render node VFX06. Please refer our troubleshooting guide for more Information on Isolating rendering outside of Deadline. Here are the detailed steps to Isolate the Issue outside of Deadline:

  • To troubleshoot more submit the same job with MayaBatch disabled, there’s an option in the submitter “Use Batch Plugin” uncheck it. The job will now render via MayaCmd Plugin and will print the actual command line arguments to render the job out side of Deadline.
  • Now Look for Full Command in the job report (right click the job> View Job Reports> See the errored tasks> Ctrl+F to search for the word “Full Command”).
  • Copy this full command and run it on the same render node (by logging inside as the same user under which the render ran) which has failed the task via cmd/terminal.
  • If you get the same error it means you are able to reproduce the issue outside of Deadline and the scene/assets/render node need to be fixed.

Thank you for your response. We tried your soultion aswell as the troubleshooting guide.
The solution that worked for us was to delete Bifrost from the computer (VFX06).
