We are trying to move to 3ds Max 2017, but keep getting this error when we submit projects from RP Manager to Deadline 8.0.7.3

Try right-clicking on your 3dsmax.exe and “Run As Administrator” for just one time.

Very strange. However, the error message is clearly a UAC / elevation issue.
If you have actually tried manually right-clicking the “3dsmax.exe” executable on one of your machines and selecting “Run As Administrator” and it’s still not working; is it possible you have silenced UAC elevation messages in Windows?
One way to prove this is a local UAC issue is to temporarily disable it on one of your machines:

Completly turning off UAC via regedit solved the issue. Thanks for the tip! It just baffles me we have been using these render nodes for almost three years with UAC “supposedly off” and never had this issue 3ds Max 2014-2016 and Deadline 6/7. Apparently something changed somewhere in Windows Update/3dsMax2017/Deadline8. It’s resolved thanks to your help and we can start migrating to 3ds Max 2017

Often times, disabling the ‘run as administrator’ helps here. Is there a reason it was turned on in the first place?
We have never had to do that before, but for some odd reason deadline/3ds Max would not render unless it was run in Admin mode. I will reset it back to normal and do some test.
