Our studio is running on Windows machines but we wanted to see how would it go with Linux. I’ve shared the directories with Samba and installed Linux client for Deadline. However, I’m getting a Deadline configuration error:
My firewall is completely disabled and database is running perfectly fine for everybody else at the moment. I’ve tried restarting the server and everything but nothing. What else might be causing this?

Can you verify that the machine trying to connect is able to ping on both the hostname and the IP, and that they match? Also, you mentioned that your Windows machines can connect fine, but I am curious if they show successful connections at the top of the monitor or slave app, it would be the location in parenthesis, for example (SERVERRAID02:27070). I reconfigured the network settings since I needed to take out my network adapter and it seems to be working at the moment.
