We are using Xmesh on our windows farm and keep running into a xmesh flicker problem. I have checked to see if it was just certain nodes not rendering, however this wasnt the case. A node would sometimes render it and sometimes not. Any thoughts?
Just to make sure I read this correctly: “flicker” means the mesh disappears on some frames, right?
Can you see any log messages for the frames that flicker?
Is there any pattern to the frames that disappear? If the render nodes are rendering a range of frames at a time, is there any pattern to the frames that flicker within the range?
What kind of mesh are you loading (what was it saved from)? You can tell me using a private message if you’d like.
In case anyone else encounters this issue: it seems that there may be a problem when rendering using finalRender on a render farm.
To work around this problem, you can change the XMesh Loader’s Loading Mode to “Nearest Frame Velocity Offset”. You can find this control in the XMesh Loader’s Files rollout.
