It would be great if you could have multiple machines render one task and then see which finishes first. Useful when a long job is being held up by one task. Right now we kind of do it manually.

Done this plenty of times manually when a slow machine has picked up the last frame, or a machine seems to be rendering unexpectedly slowly.
Oh man… How would we trigger that? How long is too long?! What if an equally slow guy gives it a try?
I’m being serious here, just making my own fun.
I think the architecture of this would be difficult as we have those stalled Slave checks. It couldn’t happen until we rearchitected how the task collection works.
