Feature Request: Save Layout for New Panels

Hi,

When using “View Slave for Task” it brings up a new Slave panel with the default column layout. I’d rather it inherit the layout from my main Slave panel or at least be able to pin or save a layout for the slave panel so that I can at least switch to it.

I’m having to hunt and dig for information that I know I need (like RAM usage and CPU usage) within the many columns that are irrelevant to what I need every time, and it’s slowed down my workflow considerably.

At the very least, it would be nice to have it just select/highlight the slave in the main Slave panel.

Thanks,
A

We’re actually already working on a “default layout” system for the panels for Deadline 7. This will allow you to set up a default layout for each panel, and that’s the layout a new instance of the panel will start with.

Cheers,
Ryan
