Feature request: Transcoding large amounts of video files

Hi,

I have already written this suggestion on the forum but i’ll add it here as well

For any company doing CGI and VFX, there’s a good chance they need to do colourgrading, ingest of video files and proxy generation etc. as well.
It would be great if you could utilize your render farm for these jobs and free your workstation - especially with FFMPEG being supported already. The extra features that would be handy are these (maybe more to come):

  1. Selecting an entire folder as input.
  2. Deadline scans the folders contents and create every file as a seperate task.
  3. Presets/dropdown menu for common filetypes/codecs in post production, VFX and color grading. Like ProRes (Proxy, Lite, HQ and 4444), Uncompressed 10-bit QuickTime, DPX 10-bit, dnxHD, H264 in a couple of diferent quality/filesize ratios etc.
  4. Presets/dropdown menu for common image sizes like HD720p, HD1080p, UHD, leave as is and custom size.
  5. A dynamic updated FFMPEG argument line, that can be altered or have something added for additional tweaking.
  6. The abillity to save, load and delete presets of the entire setup - excluding input/output folder.

If this for some reason could be achived with Draft instead, it’s fine - main thing is the functionality!
Hope this makes sense. Othervise i will happily explain further

Cheers,
Henrik Mark
