File source in Array

Hi

I am not sure if its a bug or something I am not doing as I am new to C4D. But when I put a Krakatoa file source in an array It looks correct in the viewport but when it renders it seems to be rendering the original loader at its default position.

Being new to C4D myself, I would GUESS that the bridge to Krakatoa does not support Array right now. It would have to get the new transforms from the Array and export the original stream multiple times with different transforms. Will wait to hear back from the developers, but I assume it is a “known limitation”.

I have logged it as a WishList item (“Support C4D Array of Krakatoa File Sources”) and we will see what will happen.

Since my license is not working yet, i can try to give some input as a C4D nerd :ugeek:

I think much more important than the array would be ths support of Mograph Cloners. They can actually do exactly the same as the array, but much more. I think a have never used the array beacuse i have mograph cloners. An nice feature would be if a krakatoa source can be cloned several times and the clones then could be time offsettet. So you can place your particle sim several times in your scene and just timeoffset them to create some variation.

Just offsetting the time wouldn’t help much, its just to easy to spot in the movement imho.

But luckily Krakatoa brings Repopulation, and Partitioning is planned as well.
