Final Render Clipping

I am getting some rendertime clipping when using:

Final Render - Default - Anti Alias enabled @ 50.0
PRT Loader - Rendering =Load Every Nth Particle - Less than 2.0 Percent
Frost - Default - Zhu/Bridson mesh type only - Absolute Spacing vp-10.0/rnd-20.0

Anyone else seen anything like this?

Also tried in Maxwell with Zhu/Brison, the Maxwell Error log returns:

Error: Invalid point value (in method object.setVertex)
Error: Errors detected in scene creation phase. MXS will not be created. (in method writeMXS)

Something dirty?

Yep

Mental Ray:

I have seen this type of tearing with Particle Flow Tools Box#2 Particle Skinner Modifier.

So Scanline, Vray, and Quicksilver deliver a clean rendert… Final Render, Mental Ray, Maxwell, iRay deliver a dirty render.

Ok Save to Sequence out the 1.0 percent PRT Loader again, reload the tearing is removed. If that is any help.

Yikes! Would it be possible for you to email me your scene along with a frame of your particle files?

Thanks! I am trying to fix this now.

As a temporary workaround, you may want to try lowering the Absolute Spacing to 3.0. Unfortunately this will make rendering much slower…

Edit: This should be fixed in the next Frost release.

Thanks for checking

Whoa wicked so its tied to local 0,0,0 , or at least that is where the rays are going. I though I would move the icon into view and of course do the opposite of what you told me, so I raised the spacing instead of lower it, blew up massively, yep that is exactly what Particle Skinner looked like!

Lowering the value resolves the issue.

That could be a feature, thought it looked kinda cool
