Hi,
It seems bermuda normal map still not working properly with mentalray but I tried ocean lume shader for bump maps and it worked nice. Also i tried fake foams by mapping gradient vertically on Vertical axis , so it appears only on peak and adding more flag in gradient. i can add foams other then peaks too.
Also I noticed square grids appear when rendering with mentalray. ( rectangular/square gride lines apppear on surface of bermuda mesh) but applying motionblur to surface removed those lines.
Here is the mov. Will try more tests soon.

Jigu
Thank you for the video!
I can’t really see the square grids. Is there a way I might be able this square grid issue you were seeing?
I’m working on foam masks at the moment so they should be a little easier to use than what you’re doing for masking the peaks. The mask should work well for choppy scenes like this. Currently it masks where the peaks become steep (signaling the onset of folding). I’m hoping to do some clever foam seeding with these maps, but that will come second.
Hi,
Here is the image with standard material in mentalray. No bump shader is there. You can see grid lines!
I will do more test with foam maps.
