FLEXnet issues

Our main license server went down and my IT department is having issues restoring it. Our Deadline repository is on a separate server (thankfully) so I decided to install FLEXnet on that server. But I am having issues. I have it configured, but when the “Thinkbox License Manager” service is running, I don’t see the lmgrd.exe running and the Slaves can’t connect with it either. Also when I try to reread the license file I get “ReRead server failed”. I’m totally out of my depth with this stuff and my IT is way too swamped to help me. So I was hoping to get some guidance here in order to get my team rendering again.

Thanks! But just as I sent the post IT got our server up. I’ve been busy getting things back to normal. But I still want to get the FLEXnet server running on a second VM as a backup to avoid this situation again.

For those curious after the fact, we worked out a temporary license arrangement until Monday, and we’ll pick it up from there
