With the new build (34059), Fusion 5.3 b66 (32 and 64 bit) hangs when rendering a Frequency Blur 2 with the default settings. I’m seeing it on all our machines. Old Frequency Blur seems fine.
There is a new version 34081 that may solve the issue. If not, is this happening constantly or only occasionally?
New version hangs too (Dec 1 and 2, 2008). It’s consistent; I open Fusion, create new comp, add BG, add FqB2, set FqB2 to viewer 1. The FqB2 turns green, but no progress is recorded, and nothing renders.
Running through the other plugins, and I see that MDBl does the same thing. DpBl is fine. The other tools also seem fine, including LnD2.
I ran the installer, copied just the plugin folder contents to my Fusion plugin folder and overwrote the older files. Any reason such a procedure might mess the plugin up?
Hmmm… maybe a licensing code issue?
When I run that build on another machine, all the tools hang. I was expecting the watermark, but instead get nothing.
Does the CPU run at 100% or just stall? Is the fusion interface still responsive?
Try this. Run:
C:\Program Files\eyeon\Fusion 5.3>eyeonscript -d Fusion.exe
Then send me the crash dump file it generates. The program will tell you the location of the file I’m looking for.
Brian!
CPU is low, Fusion using 1%. Rest of UI is responsive.
Dump_and_log.zip (57 KB)
Well that one didn’t help much. I may need this dump.
C:\Program Files\eyeon\Fusion 5.3>eyeonscript -d eyeonscript.exe
Brian!
Ok, hope this helps.
Dump_and_log_eyeonscript.zip (25.1 KB)
The new file doesn’t have the info I’m looking for either…
Since the interface is loading I assume that the plugin is loading properly, and there is some trouble launching the threads. I’ll get you a single thread version to test tomorrow morning.
I fixed a side issue that may have been causing this problem. I’ve included the frequency blur 2 64-bit plugin with the threading still enabled. If this version still doesn’t work I’ll send the single threaded version to test.
Brian!
FrequencyBlur2.zip (1.3 MB)
Same results as before. Sorry.
Ok. Here is the non-threaded version. I really hope this works. It will take longer to run and not report back until it completes.
Brian!
FrequencyBlur2.zip (1.29 MB)
Same problem. Nuts.
Ok. This one will output some debugging messages to the console. The output should go:
Frequency Blur 2: Starting
Frequency Blur 2: License check complete
Frequency Blur 2: Setup Complete
Frequency Blur 2: Threads completed
Frequency Blur 2: Output setting complete
Frequency Blur 2: Done
Let me know which ones print.
Brian!
FrequencyBlur2.zip (1.3 MB)
Only ‘Starting’.
Ok I got it. Your beta license has expired and rather that drawing watermarks the plugin have now decided to just hang instead. I’ll get Deirdre to send you an updated license.
Brian!
Hmmpf. I didn’t realize this needed the beta license, I thought Awake 1.2 was released.
We should have sent the new license once the full release was done. The current policy is to cut short term licenses during the beta period. I’ll look into this a little closer to try and prevent future problems.
Brian!
