Hi,
We have a Production and also a Development branch/separate repository setup and with this, I am able to sandbox a small test environment to debug Deadline jobs, etc.
However, Deadline Pulse - auto configuration feature is unfortunately working too well! I am having to create additional rules to ensure when a certain “sand-boxed” slave is started up looking at the dev repository, it doesn’t automatically re-direct itself to the Production repository due to the auto-config! I would prefer if for each Auto-Config rule, it had an enable/disable button, so I can temporarily tell the system to chill out for a bit, whilst I run some tests!
Perhaps there is a better way to do this? I would prefer to not have to write ‘special’ auto-config rules in 2 different repositories every time I want to sandbox myself! Thanks,
Mike
Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem. We’ll log it as something to look at down the road.
Thanks!
