Frost > PFlow event ghosting and Selected Events window size

First the Selected Event window is as narrow as the command panel but almost any particle system/event name is longer then the width of that window would allow to display. Hence my request to show the full name when hovering over an event like PFlow does it when you hover over an operator.

Secondly if you copy and paste events from existing systems frost seams to “see” the full event tree of the system the event was copied from showing a lot more events to choose from when selecting specific events to use frost on.

Also the selected events list does not refresh when you rename events until you add more events or remove one and add it back in. Can you add a force list update function? I know it has a force viewport update button but i would like to have that for particle systems and events if possible

Thanks in advance and sorry i couldn’t test all that during beta

Perfect timing! I just started working on the events list.

There’s something else I’m considering to make it easier to manager bigger lists. How would you feel about changing the Add dialog to two columns, “Include” and “Exclude”, with arrow buttons to move events between the two? I’m thinking of the Krakatoa “Particle Channels to Save to Disk” interface, for example. Or is there something else you’d prefer?

I don’t mind how it is right now it just would need to refresh in real time and being able to read the full name of the event would help a lot. Right now i would have to remove an event and put it back in in order to read which one i’m dealing with :frowning:

Personally i like/prefer the two window include/exclude setup. It is much easier/faster for me, personally, to visualize what is active/inactive.

I just added a PFlow, added some events, the Removed the PFlow and events were left behind. I hope this will be solved, too

but it would have to be a pop up window or something. the width of the command panel is not not near enough room. i would want avoid more popup windows

@ Bobo, i can confirm that here too. seams to be the ghosting as well i guess.
