Fumefx wavelet submission

We have been successfully submitting fumefx sim jobs through deadline since that feature was implemented. However, wavelet submission jobs fail. We had a lot of trouble last year with this and had to roll out a python solution. I would like to do this natively if possible. Any insights on what could be going wrong? All I get is “internal error” from the slave log.

What feature are you using? What submitter? What 3D application (Max or Maya)?

In 3dsMax, the MAXScript function for running a simulation has an argument to control which cache to use (default, wavelet, post). I assume something could be wrong with the argument.

I assume the same is the case in MEL/Python in Maya, but I am not involved in that development so I have no idea what might be going wrong.

I submit a job as a default sim and it produces cache files. Resubmitting as wavelet after it finishes the default sim fails. I can load the scene interactively on the same rendernode and it sims wavelet caches successfully.
This could very well be a problem for Fumefx support, but I thought I would check here first.
