Fun with Krak

Well I kinda got what I wanted, still getting comfortable with krak. I still have to play with the render settings though.

Just seeing how kack and fume mix.

very nice indeed

hey, nice

but, may I add my five cent?

simulate FFX on slover Time Scale and add on pflow ffx Follow more Velocity Multiplier, like 1.5 and play with Influence…

your particles stops outside now, not gut…

and I would emit all kraka particles on frame 0, instead adding p. on movement, the volume should be always the same I think…

on time 1.25 are the most particles, am I right?

ist cool like it is, no doubt, just try to help

Bandu

Cool, thanks for sharing!

We would love to get some closer integration with FFX in the future, like directly mapping temperature data to colors in Krakatoa.

Btw, chances are you have missed the NDA policy - there is none :o) This means that while this is a closed board, information about Krakatoa is NOT under NDA and you are allowed to post images and videos on public forums provided you stamp them with a “Rendered In Krakatoa Beta 0.9.X” text and possibly mentioning Frantic Films.

So if you want to use Krakatoa in the Movie VFX CGWorkshop for example, you could.

Cheers,

Borislav “Bobo” Petrov

Technical Director 3D VFX

Frantic Films Winnipeg

oops,

do you mean “Rendered In Krakatoa Beta 0.9.12 copyrighted by Frantic Films” should be stamp in the sequence? or is it enough to tell this as “text”??

See the images I am posting - they have an overlay on the image. Of course, in some cases where Krakatoa was used as part of a project, it would be enough to mention it in accompanying text. For the Workshop it would probably be ok to mention it in the work thread. If you post to the general CGTalk particles threads though, be sure to stamp your images.

“Rendered In Krakatoa Beta 0.9.12 by Frantic Films Software” would be perfect. “Rendered In Krakatoa Beta 0.9.12” would also be good enough. We might provide a logo bitmap in the future.

Have fun!

Thanks guys

Andrzej Bandurski - yea man I will try that out next time I do an effect.

Bobo- Yea man, I will do that on my renders. I don’t read any NDA’s but I know not to talk about it or show the stuff. I havn’t posted anything public but if I do I’ll make sure I got that stamp on.

Krak is an awesome product. Can’t wait till its all done.

Wow!

How were the fume sim times and krak renders? As in what grid size did you sim with in fume and how many particles did you use to render it?
