Getting error on Render - AE CS4

We’ve just started using Deadline, the free version. Trying to work through some errors.

We’re using After Effects CS4. I’ve successfully installed my repository on a Windows Server (64-bit 2007 standard). I have a slave installed to a 64-bit Vista machine. So far so good.

When I submit a job via the “Submit After Effect job to Deadline” option in Deadline Monitor the slave acts like it’s going to start rendering but generates several errors before finally giving up. The log file is attached.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Erick.

Hi Erick,

This is a known Vista/Windows 7 issue, and the workaround is to enable the guest account on the machine. We’re still investigating ways to get around this problem without resorting to this workaround.

Cheers,

Ryan,

Thanks for the help. To clarify, I need to enable the guest account on the vista machine or on the server machine?

Then I need to login as guest and run everything from that account?

Erick.

I believe you just need to enable the guest account on the vista machine. I don’t think you need to login as guest.

Ryan,

I enabled the guest account on the vista client, but I get the same result. Am I missing a step?

Ryan.

I got it figured out. Thanks for the help.

I had the paths mixed up on the submission script.

Erick.
