ghost task

One of the artists had a strange job. The job listing said its Complete, but the tasks were all queued. Restarting the monitor did not fix the issue, and it was showing like that on multiple machines.

When i looked at the problem, i noticed the job says: “24/23 Complete” in its status… as if it completed one extra task than it actually has.

To ‘fix’ it, i manually marked all its tasks complete, then requeued the job itself again. It then started picking up tasks again properly, however it still has a complete ghost task in there:

My guess is that there was a connection issue to mongo at some point when Deadline tried to update the job’s state, so it updated the tasks fine, but not the job. I think we fixed it in beta 10 or 11 where the steps you did to fix the job state would also fix the task count.
