gibberish in render window title

Any ideas why this is happening?
I know its been like that for ages, but im asked by artists, and don’t know what a good sounding official answer would be

I ran a test render here, and the window title was normal for me.

So my official answer is: I have no idea.

sounds like we need more information - is this happening on all the slaves? is there one ryan can log into? usual questions apply

Frankly i think this has been like that for ages,… honestly, i think i first saw this like 6-7 years ago at frantic

Its not all all machines, but some. Seems like the buffer thats being used to set the title is not properly terminated, or something like that. I get stuff like this too:

window_gibberish.jpg

Which suggests that the thread title is not terminated properly (the ‘0’)

I’ve seen this since Deadline 4. I always assumed it was GUID hash to ensure multiple rendering jobs wouldn’t conflict if they tried to access a window using the UIAccessor class but never asked about it.

Hey, gibberish now has HTML in it!!
