HELP Deadline 9 Linux: “Remote Administration has been disabled” yet other clients work

Hi I desperately need help with this. Host was accepting Deadline 9 commands (Disable/Enable, start/stop) just 5 days ago. Now it gives the error:

Failure: cannot accept a connection because Remote Administration has been disabled under Client Setup in the Repository Options

But Remote admin is enabled:

Firewall is currently disabled to get us through this problem, as it was left when it was accepting commands.

I found out that Deadline 9 claims that Remote Admin is turned off when the problem is that the required repository mount is not working.
I wish the error had been a bit more descriptive of the problem it was having.
