i have 3ds max 2012 64bit.
i download the krakatoa (fum fx) plugin, and install that.
i dont no where can i paste the date in which folder drive.
i paste to plugin folder in dir 3d max, but this is not work.

Assuming you are running the Krakatoa installer

which supports Max 2012, once the installer has finished the copying of the files to your Program Files folders,
you have to run the “Add Krakatoa To 3ds Max” wizard. It should run automatically as part of the installation process, but on some systems (mainly Windows 7, it seems), it sometimes does not run.
To run it manually, go to the Start button of Windows, in “All Programs”, navigate to the Thinkbox category, find the Krakatoa 1.6 folder and select “Add Krakatoa to 3ds Max”.
You will be prompted to select the location of your 3ds Max installation (say, “c:\program files\Autodes\3ds Max 2012”) and then the correct paths will be added to your plugin.ini file to point your 3ds Max to the location of Krakatoa. DO NOT copy Krakatoa around, unless you know what you are doing.
You can run the “Add Krakatoa to 3ds Max” multiple times to add to various versions (64 and 32 bit Max 9, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012) you might have installed.

We don’t make FumeFX and I am not an expert in its installation.
I would suggest talking to the Sitni Sati / Afterworks support people, the makers of the plug-in.
