Please consider implementing a directory chooser to specify the install directory in the Houdini client installer. Typing “/Library/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/Current” every time is rather tedious 
This is missing in both 7 and 8 client installers.

Not sure how this slipped through without a reply, but I have sent this up to the devs to look at. Apologies for the long time before replying!
We’ve gone and fixed this one for you sir! It’ll be in SP6 along with a lot of really nice little tweaks here and there.
Also, the silent installer might be a good help to make deployment a bit kinder. Each installer has its own options, but if you run it from the command prompt with “–help” on the end it should show you the options it can use.
