how to clean job errors?

There used to be a right click option to clean out errors of a job. Is there an alternative for it?

Sometimes we have pipeline bugs that corrupt the render process, while the job is perfectly fine. Or we have a license server go down for example, popping a bunch of errors. In those cases, ideally i would just clear all the errors, and resume the jobs.

Hey Laszlo,

You should be able to clear all reports from the right-click menu in the report panel.

Hm i dont have a clear option there. This is all i see:

Save Report
Connect To Slave Log…

Remote Control
Scripts

Copy
Select All

Hey Laszlo,

I found a bug where the Delete options are only available if the Report panel is already open when you select the job you want to view reports for. If you select the job first, and then spawn a new Report panel, the Delete options aren’t there, and won’t show up unless you leave the Report panel open and click on another job, then the original job again.

We’ve logged this as a bug, but you can use the workaround described above for now. The other workaround is to keep the reports panel open and just docked behind the task panel or something.

Cool, thanks! Works!

I use the targeted ‘clear error reports’ constantly in 5 (always wanted a hotkey), as I see an error, I fix the problem, then I want to clear out the now useless errors leaving the logs.

Can we have a ‘Delete All Error Reports’ option?

I already have a ‘Job Reports - Error’ filter tab setup and figured Delete All Reports in that would target just the reports visible (ie the errors ) but it clears all reports ignoring the filter. Maybe the delete operation respecting the filter would be enough. (I could of course sort by type, select the error reports and delete selected, but that’s a lot more clicks than I want)

thanks,
grant

We should be able to add options to clear all error, log, or requeue reports.

Thanks!
