How to use Cinema 4D, Redshift, and X Particles with the "Submit to Deadline" (Extensions) tool

Assuming you have Deadline already setup and you are successfully doing basic renders with C4D … The following is true.

  1. Redshift requires no special setup if it is already installed as part of your C4D License. ** You do not have to export your RedShift files to get this to work.*

  2. Make sure to copy your Insydium plugin folder into the command line version of your Cinema 4D directory. For instance … C:\Users*(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Maxon\Maxon Cinema 4D 2024_A5DBFF93_x\plugins*

  3. Within your X Particles cache window, (before submitting) be sure to check “Copy Tag Data” and write out your Cache file to a shared network location that all of your render nodes have mounted as the same drive letter.

  4. Be sure to turn on “Submit Cinema 4D Scene File” on the “Submit to Deadline” window.

  5. Turn on the “Use Batch Plugin” script. ** If you don’t do this your frames will not pick up the cache in the correct sequence of frames. It will render out of order on some nodes and you will have the various frames rendering frame 0 from the cache, instead of the current frame.*

  6. Hit the “Submit” button and be happy
