HP servers and Pulse

Hi there,

Has anyone had any luck getting HP servers to work with Deadline Pulse ?. I believe they use their own iLO2 (integrated lights out) system.

Hi Ben,

What sort of problems are you having with Pulse? Are there any error messages or logs you could send us that display the problem? If you can give us a better understanding of the problem you’re having, perhaps we’ll be able to help you out better. :slight_smile:

I’m just at the wondering stage, wondering if the HP version of Wake on Lan (which they call ILO2) works with Deadline.

Ah, ok. Deadline implements the WOL standard defined here, so if the HP version is different, then my guess is that it won’t work:

I just went to the HP site and spec’ed up several different HP Proliant severs, including a blade server, which I’m guessing you probably have and as well as having the integrated iLO2 remote management card(optional), they also had WOL support by standard.
So it should work, just double-check your particular spec. servers…
(DELL blades which also have their own bespoke management card, have WOL support and work fine : we use them :slight_smile:)
