Hi Everyone
I was wondering if Deadline has an this option
In Backburner you could check off “Include maps” to ensure that network permissions wouldn’t be a worry for slave machines.
We are getting red renders randomly on our network
when doing RRT baking with Corona. Corona renders any surface with missing textures red.
Our IT guy is on vacation and this would be a good work around if it exits in Dealine
I Googled like crazy but couldn’t find it, maybe a different term in Deadline
Thanks ahead of time
Mike K
Can you specify the 3D application and the Deadline version you are using?
If you are running 3ds Max+Corona, then the Submit Max To Deadline dialog gives you the option to collect all assets and send them as auxiliary files with the MAX scene to the Repository.
In Deadline 10, the option is under the Assets tab, and uses the Asset Tracker of 3ds Max to collect them (with some custom code for special cases not integrating with it). docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produ … assets-tab
If you are using Corona with Maya, you might want to try the “Use Local Asset Caching” option in the Maya submitter. It copies the files from the network to the local drive of the Slave machine, and Maya loads the assets from there when rendering starts. If the same machine happens to render multiple jobs of the same project, the cache will get populated over time and speed up startup times significantly, in addition to possibly reducing the issues caused by network hickups you might be experiencing. docs.thinkboxsoftware.com/produ … on-options
