Hi guys,
I just installed the latest beta on my new linux box and got an error message saying this:
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x40803) with this library (version 0x40802)
Do I actually have to install/update QT for deadline to work?
edit: I have not installed QT on the box, it’s pretty fresh off the shelve with only a few apps installed so far.
The full error/debug output is attached.
Cheers,
frank

Hey Frank,
We’ve seen this issue before on KDE systems. It happens when Qt tries to load the oxygen.so style (even though Deadline doesn’t use it), and then the oxygen.so style tries to load the system’s libQtDBus.so.4 library, which is a different version then the Qt libraries that are shipped with Deadline.
I did some digging, and I’ve found a potential workaround. I’ll try to test it out today and get back to you with an update.
Cheers,
great, thank you! Got the new machine and pipeline set up to work a mixed osx and linux environment and am looking forward to getting Deadline setup now.
Hey Frank,
We’ve fixed this bug internally, and the fix will be included with beta 18.
Cheers,
awesome, thanks!
and sorry for posting to the wrong forum. thought I was doing something wrong rather than reporting a bug
