Installer Default location?

KrakatoaMX_211-47356_x64.msi

So that installer, I am confused are we now installing in the maxRoot/Plugins folder now? The Installer no longer gives me the option of where I want to install what. All my installs live on D: not C:, that is reserved the OS. Oh nope just ran it and checked. Shame on you! :open_mouth: :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you for finally adding the option to install in multiple max versions!

BTW If you are no longer going to post beta builds to the beta forum will you at least throw up an RSS feed to the beta downloads pages so we know when a new build is out? I mean what is the point of having beta if the only way you can get notified when someone drops a new build is to actually visit the beta builds page?

Please, pretty please, pretty pretty please with XMeshed-Genome modified-Frosted-Krakatoa-through Deadline on top?

not that we shouldnt notify multiple places, but for your reference: you can subscribe to pages on the forum, or to the download page. then you will be notified of changes. of course that means if we reorganize the krakato downloads folder you would probably be notified!

also, i try to tweet about it as soon as it was posted. in this case i was off friday and so it was postponed until monday!

cheers

Hey Chris,

I am subscribed to most for instance:
viewforum.php?f=30

does not mention any of this:
thinkboxsoftware.com/krakato … ilds-beta/

I suspect that Bobo is just having too much fun using Genome

LOL I would much rather delete a bunch of notifications that not no anything at all!

you can subscribe to that website page - thinkboxsoftware.com/krakato … ilds-beta/ as well if it helps

We keep Bobo very busy, so it isn’t just Genome

I would love too but firefox, nor IE either gives me an RSS or “Subscribe to this Page” option enabled. Am I missing something?

no - i am apparently incorrect as pointed out by darcy. i will have to see what we can do. there IS an RSS feed for our blog on the website - i thought it was for arbitrary pages but is not!
i suppose we should be updating a changelog and doing a posting on the ‘thinkblog’ concurrently which WOULD show up.

let me discuss internally

Anything is fine, thanks for looking into it.

You guys almost nailed it! the only thing that seems to still install on C: is the SchematicControl.

Nice though, thanks.
