iPod Touch - no connection to Pulse

From various Macs, the connection to the Pulse web service works as documented. From my iPod Touch, I only get a connection error result. The documentation seems rather…slight. I’ve tried various ports (8080 and 443). I’ve tried with and without the http setting enabled. I’ve shutdown the firewall on the Pulse machine. I’ve added Pulse to the list of authorised apps in the firewall and started the firewall. Everything on the Pulse and Mac side seems to be fine, but the iPod touch stubbornly refuses to cooperate.

Any ideas?

All I get on the iPod Touch is :

There was an error connecting to Pulse. Pulse may not be running. Press the ‘Refresh’ button to update the job list.

Pulse is obviously sensing something because it prints a ‘listening’ line for each connection attempt.

Can you email a screen shot of your Pulse Webservice settings in the repository options to deadline-support, as well as your connection settings that you are using in the iphone application? If you don’t want to email us the iphone connection settings due to privacy concerns, at least sending us the Pulse Webservice settings may help.
