I'm doing a demo of Deadline and we have some system with windows 64. I'm have a problem installing NetFx64.exe with is the equivalent of dotnetfx.exe.
Anyway it'd be nice to know if I am barking up the wrong tree.

Hi Adrian,
Try installing dotnetfx.exe on your 64 bit machines. It installs the .NET Framework version 1.1, which is what Deadline uses. NetFx64.exe installs version 2.0, which might cause some conflicts.
Let us know if that works!

The first thing I tried was installing dotnetfx.com but the install fails with a vague error.
When I try to install NetFx64.exe it says that the Windows Installer Service coudl not be accessed. I found some installers for that at microsoft.com but could not find the right one or get it to work.
Can you post the error you’re getting? Maybe Microsoft has an article regarding the problem. We’ve been able to install dotnetfx.exe on our 64 bit machines here, so it should work.
Thanks!
Okay well at least I know it shouldwork ;-)
How's this for vague..
