I have deadline up but when I go to submit and try submitting a maya job nothing appears in the deadline monitor. It does not look like the job actually submitted.
When I click submit nothing happens. The submission window just stays up but no dialog box to say it has submitted the job.
Hmm, I can’t seem to reproduce this. I was able to submit from the Monitor just fine. Something is going wrong though, because you would normally get a popup message telling you the submission was successful.
Can you send us the monitor log after a failed submission attempt? You can find the logs by selecting Help -> Explore Log Folder in the Monitor.
Then send us the output from the command. We’ll take a look to see if there is any useful info.
If this doesn’t help us debug the problem, would you be willing to allow us to remote into a machine so we can poke around? maya_job_info.zip (933 Bytes)
Interesting. Did the job show up in the Monitor too?
Maybe there is a certain set of options in the Maya submitter that causes it to fail to submit. Can you take a screen shot of all the tab pages in your Maya submitter? We’ll use those to set up the same options here and try to reproduce.
Found the bug. The problem only happens when MentalRay is the selected renderer.
This will be fixed in beta 5, but here is the updated script in case you want to use it now. Just unzip to \your\repository\scripts\Submission, then restart your Monitor to load the new script.
