Job doesn't want to render (7.1.0.31)

Not sure if this is due to deadline or there is something odd in the scene, but I get the message below.
The scene used to have a plugin-material, but removed it from the scene.

any idea what this could be?

The problem is that the slave rendering this job is still running an older version of Deadline that doesn’t have the IsRunningAsService function defined. The report you posted is showing that the slave is version v7.0.0.44.

That’s odd as I just installed the new version on the whole farm (and first shut down the slave before installing)

Do I really have to uninstall it prior to updating?

mmh… it seems i have 2 deadlines installed on my machine again… will have a look at that.

Could having 2 deadline clients on 1 workstation also explain why I don’t see job updates?

all slaves are blue again (this time other workstation then last time…)

That could totally explain it, especially since one of the versions is 7.0.0.44, which is pretty old.
