DL beta 19, win7 x64, maya 2013
curious…when getting the list of paths from the job in our job script, the paths where not correct because they didn’t take into account multiple camera sub folders. (see attached image)
maya render globals are set, and the renders are going to the correct location, with camera subfolders under the scene name, but DL is ignoring the camera subfolder name and just listing the render layer folders.

I can reproduce this, and I’ve logged it as a bug.
Thanks!
Turns out this was a known issue specific to using the camera key in the output path. We’ll still keep it logged as a bug, but it’s something that will have to wait until at least 6.1, since it will require more than a few lines of modifications to the maya submitter.
Cheers,
Ryan,
This for us is a show stopper, since our pipeline tools we’re currently developing to bring DL into our pipeline do not know where the data being rendered is. Can you give me a more specific timeline for when you see this being fixed?
Thank you,

Sorry, I didn’t realize this was a show stopper for you guys. We’ll do some digging and see if we can get this working for 6.0.
Cheers,
Thank you. Very much appreciated. We’re tracking where renders are from your job output, so the renders can be QC’ed and released/moved to compositing. With that path broken, we’re dead in the water. We can guess what happened after a render job, and scan the tree, but that leads to a whole other set of problems.
Thank you.

It took a bit of refactoring, but I think we got this working properly now. I’ve uploaded the modified maya submitter for you to test. Our plan is to include this in the RC2 release this week.
To install, go to \your\repository\submission\Maya\Main and backup the original SubmitMayaToDeadline.mel file. Then unzip the attached file to the same folder. Restart Maya, and try submitting a new job to see if the output paths are correct.
Thanks!
First off, sorry for the delayed response…everything is more important than everything else.
Second, FANTASTIC! That’s working now.
Thank you very much. Really appreciated.
