Job Report create not accurate report on Auxiliary files...

Hi!
Certainly my deadline6 start to behave really strangly and generate and kill the render… here the story!
Deadline Version: 6.1.0.53566 R
FranticX Version: 2.0.0.53540 R

  1. Job Error start to get reported about not been able to access the Auxiliary File location. But its wrong if i try to browse the Auxiliary Location from the Monitor I’m able to reach the files… Like how its set in the Repository settings. No right issue.

  2. But some error on Job Report get generated more the 3 per task looking for the auxiliary files location in the original repository location.!?! … And in the same way stop my render…

  3. I have change the Auxiliary file location and all new submit JOB go to the correct new location… But still error get created and kill the job

  4. I try changing the setting about the failure detection in the repository settings but the change doesnt get updated…

My farm have been going good for a long time … I updates for the new Beta version about a week ago and all was fine, then certainly this append?

Anyone have a idea of what is going wrong… Right in crunch time as usual!

Hello,

I just wanted by starting to verify a few things. First, the machine 172.21.128.184 is which one? The auxillary location or the repo? Is this a machine that should have the needed files in that location? Second is wherther you can login to a slave as the same user who runs the slave application and see if the location \connectivity_r\Renderfarm\newTempFiles is accessible via the file browser? Also, the error ‘could not get log text’ means it cannot pull the text of the log from the log folder. If you open the monitor on the slave that generated that log, and choose help, then explore log folder. Make sure there are logs there, and that the user running the slave can access them. As for the top error in the log, it is basically saying it cannot find the file, so I think that we need to figure out why that is.

Hi thks to try helping.

  1. Yes 172.21.128.184 is the machine where is the repository isntall to.
    My auxiliary files are in \connectivity\renderfarm\newTempFiles
    -Yes \ connectivity_r is where the temp files get copied by deadline when you check submit Maya files or similar for others cg packages… as you configure in the repository settings.
  • Yes the location \ connectivity_r… can be access from every one by any workstation or dedicated blade we have in any file browser.

  1. About the log thing im still looking . But i think i miss explain the problem… the error point to the job submit
    In the repository job folder… as default setting should go…but in fact the path should point to \connectivity_r and not the original repository location \172.21.128. 184 aa i change the in the job settings

  2. After i send the post yesterday i observe my user group setting to be really unresponsive with the change… is there a way to reset all user group to default
    Including the everyone?
    Anyway hope 1. And 2. Can share more lights to help seeing what can be wrong

Hi,
You quoted this version at the top of your first thread: 6.1.0.53566 R yet the slave error report states at the bottom this version: 6.1.0.52622 R.
I think you just need to restart all your slaves to ensure they auto-upgrade to the latest version and will also update there settings which will include the new repository aux file location.
As we are discussing the beta version, please could you post beta related threads to the beta forum only? I assume you have access ok?
