So does the new Katana (3.1v02) work on older versions of Deadline?
Or do I really need to use Deadline 10 for this in order to work?

At the moment, it won’t even work on Deadline 10:
I just saw that a few hours ago and I’m still finding out how we might handle this one. We won’t back-port the fix unfortunately so you would need to upgrade or hack the support in yourself.

We don’t use the standard Submission scripts.
We wrote submitters ourself, but noticed a whole range of errors when we try to render on Deadline 9. Ranging from KtoA not willing to render in a thread and some error codes. However, unsure if those codes are Katana or Deadline related.
Is Katana 3.0 supported then?
Ok, so I tested again with a fresh mindset today and now it works.
I had a PATH env set which screwed things up.
So now it works.
