I wanted to clarify, will Krakatoa 1.0 include the spec for the PRT file format? We’re interested in making some PRT I/O plugins for other applications, specifically Fusion.

Affirmative.
We already have a link on the Krakatoa manual page, we just haven’t published it yet because we would prefer the lead programmers who developed PRT to write the public specification docs - they have deeper knowledge of the matter.
Currently, you can use the CSV format for limited data transfer between applications (let’s say up to a couple million particles). Being ASCII, it is not as compact as PRT, but if you want to test some transfer with Fusion, you could use it until the PRT spec. is up.
Right, but we wanted the compression as well. The .csv would be a nice way to test for small things, yes. Thank you.
