EXPORTER CHANGES
Changed the internal scale factor to 1.0. Beta 1 had a factor of 1/100 which was incorrect as Krakatoa SR does NOT have a specific units scale, but this scaling was bringing some features like Depth Of Field out of sync with the rest of the scene.
Enabled the Console Logging by default in STATS mode.
Renamed the Fraction option in Krakatoa Objects to “Percentage” and modified the exporter to use a range from 0 to 100%.
Exposed Use Lighting Pass Density and Use Emission Strength options which are off by default. In that case, the Final Pass Density also controls the Lighting Pass Density and Emission Strength. When checked, the controls will be decoupled and can be set individually. Note that the UI controls are not grayed out yet accordingly.
KRAKATOA OBJECTS
Renamed the UI descriptions of some source objects to match their KMX and KMY counterparts, not touching the internal class names. A newly created File Source will now be named “Krakatoa PRT Loader”, Mesh Source will be named “Krakatoa PRT Volume”, Fractal Source will be “Krakatoa PRT Fractal”.
Changed the Voxel Spacing and Shell Start and Thickness controls of the PRT Volume (Mesh Source) to use World Units.
Limited the number of particles per region in PRT Volume to 1024 for now. Higher values were problematic in Beta 1. If you need more particles in the volume, increase the Subdivisions count.
GENERAL USER INTERFACE
Capitalized all words in all UI control names.
Added range limits to all relevant controls to avoid incorrect render results or even C4D crashes.
Reordered the main render area to two-column layout to place the Filter list and the Bilinear Filter Size in one line, and the Density & Exponent spinners in a line too.
Removed the Error On Missing License option because it does not apply to KC4D, missing license always causes an error.
Moved the Number Of Threads options to the Miscellaneous rollout.
Made some secondary rollouts rolled up by default.
Renamed Filter Size to Bilinear Filter and grayed it out when Bilinear is not selected from the list.
Changed the default Background Color Override to sky blue to have a faster way to show dark particles on a brighter background. Matches the color from Krakatoa MY.
The Log File option was using the wrong Open File dialog type, changed to Save File.
Beauty RGB rendering defaulted to .JPG file, changed to .EXR to match all other channels. Saving to JPG rarely makes no sense in Krakatoa.
Added sliders and better ranges to all Shader parameters.
ICONS
Updated icons to colored versions.
Added dedicated icons for all scene object types.
Scene objects now have three-letter icons on green background, except for PRT Saver which is orange.
Channel Op Tags have two-letter icons in cyan background.
Camera, Light and Mesh tags have one-letter icons on violet background.
