Krakatoa Maya - Feb. 11, 2013

Attached is the Krakatoa MY release candidate 2. It is built for 64 bit Maya 2011, 2012, 2013. It built for both Windows and Linux.

Release notes:

  • Fixed a bug that was causing “instanced” PRT objects to appear at the origin when rendered.
  • Fixed a bug in the particle modifier system that caused extra nodes to be created in certain cases.
  • Removed excessive error reporting that was occurring in some modifiers.
  • Fixed a bug in the PRT Loader that was causing incorrect reporting of particle counts in certain cases.
  • Changed the behavior of the particle modifier “Copy Channel”. It now supports copying float to float[3].
  • Fixed a bug that was causing excessive CPU usage when a Texture map was connected via a modifier.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the viewport particles to sometimes not display correctly when modifiers were added.
  • Fixed random UI bugs.

PLEASE NOTE: If this is the first time installing the plugin, you will still need to manually load the plugin using Maya’s “Plugin Manager”.
